The updated Working Drafts of 'Ambient Light Events' [1] and 'Proximity Events' [2] have been published. These contain the warning that [[ Implementers need to be aware that this specification is not stable and may change in incompatible ways. We anticipate that it will be updated to be based on Generic Sensor API. Implementers interested in implementing this specification should subscribe to the repository on GitHub and take part in the discussions as well as in the Working Group. ]] The W3 news item is at http://www.w3.org/blog/news/archives/4954 Please note that Proximity Events has returned from CR to WD. I have updated the DAP roadmap accordingly [3]. Thanks to Anssi for preparing the drafts for publication. regards, Frederick Frederick Hirsch Chair, W3C Device APIs WG (DAP) www.fjhirsch.com @fjhirsch [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/2015/WD-ambient-light-20150903/ [2] http://www.w3.org/TR/2015/WD-proximity-20150903/ [3] http://www.w3.org/2009/dap/
