The "Permissions for Device API Access" W3C Note has been published, see http://www.w3.org/TR/2015/NOTE-api-perms-20150714/ This Note shelves the DAP work on this specification, stating: [[ Work on this document has been discontinued and it should not be referenced or used as a basis for implementation. Further development of this specification is being performed by the Web Application Security Working Group <http://www.w3.org/2011/webappsec/> which has published an updated version of the Permissions API <http://www.w3.org/TR/permissions/>. Please refer to that version. ]] This was based on our group CfC [1] that concluded successfully. regards, Frederick Frederick Hirsch Chair, W3C Device APIs WG (DAP) www.fjhirsch.com @fjhirsch [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2015Jun/0150.html <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2015Jun/0150.html>Received on Tuesday, 14 July 2015 15:28:07 UTC
