The DAP WG has recorded the question regarding changing the interface and event names  in the Vibration API as ISSUE-153 [1].

We checked and Mozilla has an existing shipping implementation for which they cannot change the naming.

Given this information, the WG agreed not to make any changes and is closing this ISSUE with no action[2]. 

If you have any concerns, please respond including the list (cc'd). A note that you are ok with this resolution would help as well.
