The spec that you referred to is no longer at the tip of DAP repo.

I don't know how to get to old version, but someone on the WG might give a hand here.

That's a good point. The genuine Sensor API I crafted time ago supports connecting to any kind of discoverable sensor, including the device's sensors which makes a difference against ad-hoc solutions like specific DOM Events.
