Hi, There was a mention on the call of someone considering use cases for an NFC API. The last email I see on this is http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-device-apis/2012Feb/0055.html I am interested in participating in that discussion, if others are interested in starting it, and may be able to provide some use cases in time for the upcoming F2F (I don't have any use cases to offer yet, but I am working to derive them with others on our team involved in NFC standardization). The question of how this potential activity relates to the charter also was briefly mentioned. As I read the charter http://www.w3.org/2011/07/DeviceAPICharter: "3.1 Recommendation-Track Deliverables The working group will deliver the following specifications: ... * An API to discover and communicate with devices and services on the same device, on the local network, or directly connected, e.g. by USB and Bluetooth (*<http://www.w3.org/2011/07/DeviceAPICharter>)\ " I believe this covers NFC as well, as a method of direct connection and communication. Thanks, Bryan Sullivan
