Thanks for this information Kensaku! Nice to hear that we share interest in Web Intents for local services and that you also are prototyping within this field. I am looking forward to further progress. With your explanation, I can get clear understanding. Yeah, I like hidden/background model, because it gives people a cool and natural UI/UX :) Additionally to say, perhaps you've already heard from sato-san or igarashi-san, We're now prototyping such interaction use-cases based on your proposal. (Our implementation is now using external pc box for ssdp control point) I think we can have some interoperability test within a year. I strongly believe that such a collaborative work will make your proposal and potential of WI moving forward. This example scenario is described in appendix A.2 in the specification. Disposition “hidden/background” is currently not supported by the Web Intents specification as I note in the addendum specification but for these types of scenarios it is needed. As you see I have a W3C action on this. For our demos we are using a special build of the Android browser that supports a UPnP API. For desktop Chrome we use a UPnP plugin. This demonstration's architecture seems to being "alt2" described in your presentaition (http://www.w3.org/wiki/images/2/2e/V4_W3C_Web_Intents_-_Local_UPnP_Service_Discovery.pdf). Is it right? (alt 2 : combination of hidden iframe w/ channel messaging and websocket or xhr2) And also, I'd like to know that which device is now implementing service discovery features. (inside browser or plug-ins or Android's application or others ?) In addition there is a video of a demo of the use case "Play video on remote device using Web Intents", https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-2pb_m94nPxRGV5LTRvM0pLaUU/edit. Feedback is welcome!
