Hi Kensaku,

Yes, the demo illustrates the case when the Service page is hidden. This example scenario is described in appendix A.2 in the specification. Disposition “hidden/background” is currently not supported by the Web Intents specification as I note in the addendum specification but for these types of scenarios it is needed. As you see I have a W3C action on this.

For our demos we are using a special build of the Android browser that supports a UPnP API. For desktop Chrome we use a UPnP plugin.

This demonstration's architecture seems to being "alt2" described in your presentaition
(http://www.w3.org/wiki/images/2/2e/V4_W3C_Web_Intents_-_Local_UPnP_Service_Discovery.pdf).
Is it right?
　(alt 2 : combination of hidden iframe w/ channel messaging and websocket or xhr2)

And also, I'd like to know that which device is now implementing service discovery features.
 (inside browser or plug-ins or Android's application or others ?)
