Well, I don't think it matters much. The point of a spec is multiple imps. PhoneGap (http://phonegap.com) is a pretty workable solution for many platforms and we're using mobile-spec (http://github.com/phonegap/mobile-spec) for our testing purposes. We (mostly) remain DAP compliant. BONDI apis are upcoming for iPhone/Android/Symbian soon.
