Sure, that seems like a reasonable choice. But the fact that different CPUs need different algorithms makes this even worse for web-compatability between browsers. If the sites are going to be that sensitive to the algorithm, it seems like it really needs to be specified (or a few algorithms specified) to allow websites to work across browsers and CPU/architectures.
