From RFC 2119 ""RECOMMENDED", means that there may exist valid reasons in particular circumstances to ignore a particular item, but the full implications must be understood and carefully weighed before choosing a different course." So you could add some text along the following lines "To not do so could severely impact the user by draining the device's battery and depriving the user from further using their device."
