After reviewing this issue, the editors decided to keep JSON derived types in the specification. **Why** Keeping JSON derived types is beneficial for many reasons: 1. It makes the spec flexible enough to support a whole variety of use cases we can't guess. 2. It removes the burden of thinking about all types possible and thus it helps us maintain and release the spec as easily as possible.
