No surprise, but I prefer the 'Genome' color optimization and SemanticWeighted naming convention/syntax. It's what I use in our multi-brand Design System.

However, the Genome Color Tool also includes 'IBM Carbon' and 'Lightning SalesForce' and others. It considers all optimizations valid and accepted standards. Unlike the common use of weight '60' for the base, Genome defines the 'base' color as weight 400, which maps to the normal weight of a font, or a mid-tone value.

Many details, obviously,  but I hoped to leave the preferred optimization in the designer's control. There is a link in that tool to a Medium article that might offer deeper insights. Or, reach out directly. Always available!
