I like this! But it will only work as long as no two statuses need to be assigned at the same time.
- Maybe `$state` can take an array?
- Maybe `$state` is an object? (`{ "$state": { "experimental": true, "deprecated": true } }`)
Something can be both deprecated and experimental.
