W3C Community Contributor License Agreement

We consider joining your group but we are wary for the legal mumbo jumbo in
the W3C Community Contributor License Agreement.

We have a large body of work in 15926.org <http://15926.org/>  in the public
domain and, like you, are looking for such a declarative approach. Providing
we join the group, and jointly the group finds a solution, what then are the
consequences of signing that agreement?
