The W3C MWI Device Description Working Group is pleased to announce the
First Public Working Draft of the "Device Description Landscape" [1].


On behalf of the group, I thank the editors:
   James Pearce, Argogroup
   Matt Womer, France Telecom


This milestone document, with its companion, the 'Device Description
Ecosystem', provides significant input to the determination of
requirements for a global device description solution, which will be
outlined in a forthcoming document entitled 'Device Description
Repository Requirements'.


Comments and contributions from the public should be directed to the
DDWG mailing list [2].
