There is a proposal from Pontus of Ericsson (former Drutt) to split the currently submitted memory limit property into two, one for markup and one for media. I think it makes a lot of sense, in the WAP 1 days the memory limit was on the full package of markup plus media, but later this has changed. Often browsers are capable of displaying images very big or of downloading files up to 1 or more MB, but are unable to render a page based on a markup bigger than a few tens of KB. The property as it stands would probably not be included in the core vocabulary, if you want it to be added, it's probably good to make your voice heard.
