Many thanks for the overwhelming support for the proposal currently called LDOM in the strawpoll today. I am fully aware that this has no official status whatsoever, so what I am writing below should be seen with forward references into a possible future only. Those who consider this premature should feel free to ignore this topic for now. I believe we should try to agree on a suitable name for this new technology as soon as possible. If we delay this decision, then references within the mailing list, documents, and other communication channels will refer to vague temporary names only, and we risk broken references. Furthermore, it would be great to have a prefix for the examples and implementations, so that we don't have to redo them all later. In this spirit, I have started a wiki page https://www.w3.org/2014/data-shapes/wiki/Technology_Name that tries to help with this process. Please add other suggestions that you favor, and feel free to add your comment and votes to existing entries. Maybe we can have a similar straw poll in the next weekly call. Thanks Holger
