Jose mentioned that he had some comparisons between ShEx and SHACL on https://github.com/labra/ShExcala/wiki/ShExC-vs-SHAC The example at https://github.com/labra/ShExcala/wiki/ShExC-vs-SHACL#OptionalsWithFixedValues uses filters, but it is also possible to do this with an explicit Or. The refactoring of SHACL that Holger proposed may be able to do this more directly using an embedded shape that is satisified only by the value.
