I felt that constraint has been used quite a bit so it was better to not use it for something completely different. If this proposal goes forward, I agree that it should be changed back to constraint (or something else). > The spec uses the term "shape" to stand for only a part of what is > normally called a shape. Shapes are definitely not assertions. They are actually somewhat closer to what has been called a constraint, but I wanted to avoid using that term. > The spec uses the term "scope" to mean something similar to a > precondition. Well, it would be precondition if the enclosing concept was a rule, but it is not a rule, so I didn't want to use "precondition". > These terms are visible in the RDF vocabulary, so we should pick terms > that typical users will understand. Agreed, or perhaps it would be even better to attempt to use terms that typical users will not misunderstand. > -- Arthur peter -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iQEcBAEBCAAGBQJVPrjBAAoJECjN6+QThfjzu20IAKZ7cP2Uqkpz6y8SUUPcVDbh G45jBh36v5eG4T1lPbCoyOIIMIjdav9EvKR7Yu/A83CRLKINTSWCtg4RKtbBalf+ Miw+tpWXjDTfo8izeA82dr0L0LBfsosj37G+ZNHpa4bicyq1M1F/bty1bY9FceUS lM8uXVh6YVXyCarlbgcKMeGMjHZ9WfGuOoL49Jcu4K6BgKvA2a2EbdkQ1kfNexeG oMmjtN3x38MttbmsJ//4ifNAXYdP1p8Ye11gzNd8ZNIs+mzRFXx/5RVgoJq4wUA6 6PQQyoTwTUn6Yl/p1NGWKYUa3z9RyQTmtdUCVunxGblGo+yBSy9Qul0DO0GIBeY= =ZnPO -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
