I should have also linked to the DCMI requirements in my last post, but I think it is useful to have them in their own thread. http://wiki.dublincore.org/index.php/RDF_Application_Profiles/Requirements As you can see, the main categories of requirements are: 1. Meta- These are the requirements for the language or schema 2. General - not specific to classes or properties 3. Class requirements 4. Property requirements 5. Value requirements To me, this is a logical arrangement of requirements from the point of view of the user of the potential standard. This is NOT a description for developers of engines that support the standard, but it is not intended to be. This user view seems to be missing in the SHACL documentation.
