After some additional research, especially about JSON (because .cv2 and
.json were the best fit in my opinion), I also vote for the initial
proposal - .cv2 (unless someone shares some new insight on .json being a
good fit for this).

The vote ends today, September 8, 2014 at 23:59 UTC. Thanks for the replies
and proposals for future tasks will come in the following weeks. Ideally,
we have a specification and an example implementation/snippets by the end
of October, depending on decision speed and participation.
