Dear all, As those with long memories will recall, the CSVW WG began life at the same time as the Data on the Web Best Practices WG. That WG is now nearing its end and, last week, published near final versions of its output documents. The two vocabularies are designed to facilitate better and more structured communication between data providers and data users. The Best Practices Doc sets out how to make better use of the Web as a data platform and includes several specific references to CSVW. The DWBP WG would be grateful for any review comments members of this community may have before seeking transition of the BP doc to Candidate Rec. Thanks Data on the Web Best Practices https://www.w3.org/TR/2016/WD-dwbp-20160519/ in particular: - Best Practice 4: Provide structural metadata - Best Practice 11: Use persistent URIs as identifiers within datasets - Best Practice 13: Use machine-readable standardized data formats Data Quality Vocabulary https://www.w3.org/TR/2016/WD-vocab-dqv-20160519/ Dataset Usage vocabulary https://www.w3.org/TR/2016/WD-vocab-duv-20160519/ -- Phil Archer W3C Data Activity Lead http://www.w3.org/2013/data/ http://philarcher.org +44 (0)7887 767755 @philarcher1
