https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=19505 Priority: P2 Bug ID: 19505 CC: kojiishi@gluesoft.co.jp Assignee: fantasai.bugs@inkedblade.net Summary: Describe visual direction when document encoding is iso-8859-8 QA Contact: public-css-bugzilla@w3.org Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: annevk@annevk.nl Hardware: PC Status: NEW Version: unspecified Component: Writing Modes Product: CSS While iso-8859-8 and iso-8859-8-i both encode and decode Hebrew in the same way, the former displays in visual direction while the latter displays in logical direction. The CSS specification needs to describe this in some way. See http://encoding.spec.whatwg.org/ for details on the encodings. See bug 17003 and http://krijnhoetmer.nl/irc-logs/whatwg/20121012#l-540 for some of the history behind this filing. As part of this you might want to consider studying -webkit-rtl-ordering. (I have not been able to find much.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
