@svgeesus thank you for clarifying. I was wondering how this does make sense... Technically, the grammar allows the following:

```
light-dark(light-dark(white, black), light-dark(black, white))
```

However, I see that [this](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12513#issuecomment-4085662455) probably is the best way to express the grammar.
