Though I still lightly lean towards the initial resolution, I agree this warrants revisiting in the WG as I'm not sure the existing adoption angle was considered. The guidelines for this kind of problem do acknowledge that: > if a feature has already escaped into the wild and sites have started depending on it, pretending it’s still “experimental” doesn’t help anyone https://www.w3.org/TR/css/#de-facto It appears the only browsers supporting app-region are chromium-based (Chrome,Edge,Opera), but 0.22% of page loads isn't nothing.
