Like @LeaVerou , I'm not a fan of nesting the results. I'm also not a fan of nesting locals or having @local scattered all over. All those things make the code hard to read and make sense of. What if local variables and parameters just started with three or four dashes instead of two? It would be a lot easier to read and understand, IMO.
