I raised the issue of it not working cross-document, but I concede that it's ok to have that exception. It fails reliably, and it's easy to document. Looking back at the thread, it kinda feels like some of the concerns were raised, but again I don't see them being addressed. It kinda feels like people just got tired of pointing the issues out, and stopped.
