Looking at the list of existing keywords that start with `span-*`, they all (*) start spanning from the center towards the specified edge, so prefixing or injecting `center` into the keyword doesn’t seem to add extra value imo.

(*) The exception here is `span-all`, but the name makes it pretty clear that it will span all cells in the row / column
