With https://drafts.csswg.org/mediaqueries-5/#script-control-user-prefs being a thing (on paper), shouldn’t that be the way to implement a toggle/override?

As in:
- Leave the meta tag as a _hint_ for the browser (similar to `color-scheme` on `:root`)
- Use the script control to force-override that hint.
