I'd like to be able to do this based on height as well. This is my use case: I have a fixed height and width iframe that my content needs to fit into. Inside I have a paragraph that will need to be translated into localized languages, so I can't know the length of the string. I have 3 lines maximum for the paragraph and would like the font size to reduce between an upper and lower bounds (for readability) in order to fit the content on those 3 lines. The width of the paragraph depends on the iframe size and its padding which are both responsive. The vertical space for the paragraph is dependent on the height of the container and the height of the siblings, but could maybe be achieved with line clamp. Currently I am forced to hide content that would be helpful to the user because I can't be certain there is space for it. -- GitHub Notification of comment by stubbornella Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/2528#issuecomment-3886100494 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
