It's reasonable and convincing if opt-_out_ as originally announced, but might a bit too narrow if opt-in like the current Chromium (not terrible though). ASCII space is basically more than 0.25ic (e.g. about 0.27ic in Noto Sans CJK + Segoe UI), so _I_ doubt that many ASCII-space-abusers especially who stick to _backward compatibility_ will be satisfied with 0.125ic.

It makes sense a lot, but this will be an _unavoidable_ next milestone because this feature will assure the compatibility with jlreq/clreq and existing contents fill of ASCII spaces.
