> The CSS-WG and the i18n WG have determined 1/8th of an ideograph is a good compromise. It's reasonable and convincing if opt-_out_ as originally announced, but might a bit too narrow if opt-in like the current Chromium (not terrible though). ASCII space is basically more than 0.25ic (e.g. about 0.27ic in Noto Sans CJK + Segoe UI), so _I_ doubt that many ASCII-space-abusers especially who stick to _backward compatibility_ will be satisfied with 0.125ic. > Given that text-autospace has not yet fully been rolled out, I would prefer to wait before we add more options. It makes sense a lot, but this will be an _unavoidable_ next milestone because this feature will assure the compatibility with jlreq/clreq and existing contents fill of ASCII spaces. -- GitHub Notification of comment by tats-u Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12868#issuecomment-3347423318 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
