Okay, defined properly now in Scoping - we now have 'local' tree-scoped names, and explicitly talk about how they compare with tree-scoped references. To handle both 'anchor-name' (which wants to be usable in higher trees; see #9408) and 'anchor-scope' (which is strictly limited to a single tree, see #5984), we introduced the notion of a tree-scoped name being 'loosely matched' or 'strictly matched'. -- GitHub Notification of comment by tabatkins Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/7916#issuecomment-3340107866 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
