With the property named `item-flow` I can't get out of my head that it is the direction the items will be placed, as similar to the block/inline [normal flow](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/CSS_display/Flow_layout). `item-flow: row` says to _me_ that the items will order in the row **_direction_** (horizontal) - not that they will rigidly line up into equal height rows. It's describing _item_ placement rather than the overall template. To use `column` for waterfall would be describing the track direction, not the item direction. This is my thinking, for why I voted for A. -- GitHub Notification of comment by djmarland Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12803#issuecomment-3444170569 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
