Yeah, the grid model isn't great here, not matter what we choose. If we can't come up with one syntax that makes intuitive sense for all three layout types, then maybe we need to reconsider this design and go back to the question of whether these should be separate properties in each layout type that is named and can mean something that is intuitive for that layout type. At the end of the day, that may end up allowing us to create a clearer experience for authors.
