Thanks @noamr for posting the example renderings! Seeing them, the rounded version is still more appealing to me.

Could we adjust the rendering for square corners to also use round shadows? While technically a breaking change, it only affects rendering. And I'd argue it's what it should have been in the first place.

Though, I'd also be ok with the two miter versions (preferring the clip version over just miter). And we may still add control over how joins are rendered in the future.
