> This is not possible for width/height animations, though perhaps possible specifically for view-transition psuedos as they are absolutely positioned and only contained images. Off-topic, but something I've been wondering recently: are width/height transitions/animations on absolutely-positioned elements with no contents (e.g. just a box with a background) GPU-optimized? Just based on what they look like, I feel like they are in Chrome and maybe Firefox but _not_ in Safari (they feel very janky). -- GitHub Notification of comment by benface Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/13064#issuecomment-3528384348 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
