nt1m has just created a new issue for https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts: == [css-forms-1] Use `field-sizing: content` on controls by default in `appearance: base`? == This makes sizing of form controls less magical and feel like the rest of CSS. It might also be worth tweaking the behavior of `field-sizing: content` to fill the whole inline-size when `display: block` is used (or maybe this warrants a new value for `field-sizing`?) I do think there should be a default size to controls that is reasonable for users to type in though, so we might want some UA styles to achieve that. cc @fantasai @lukewarlow @tkent-google @dbaron Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12231 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
