OK, so @davidsgrogan, @progers and I would like to formally propose a new HTML `<meta>` tag to make the UA's initial font size (i.e. `font-size: medium`) be affected by the OS text scale. Authors told us they just want `rem` units to work properly, so we believe it is the way to go instead of `pem` units! I've created a new issue #12380 to discuss it there. You can also find a link to an Explainer there (you'll all be pleased to know that it's much shorter than the one for `env(preferred-text-scale)`! 😉 @frivoal @fantasai You both said you liked the sound of the `<meta>` tag suggestion, so I'm excited to hear what you both think! By the way, @fantasai, I forgot to say earlier: thank you for saying the `env()` explainer was amazing!! We learnt a lot from writing it. -- GitHub Notification of comment by JoshTumath Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10674#issuecomment-2993191740 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
