For privacy reasons `::spelling-error`, `::grammar-error`, `::target-text` and `::search-text` cannot report anything about whether they are active. An attacker could craft content that identified the user's personal dictionary, or the terms on the page they are interested in. `::selection` is sort of questionable too. -- GitHub Notification of comment by schenney-chromium Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12158#issuecomment-3048664796 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
