I have corrected this view, thanks to @sakupi01 and @frivoal. I often see Microsoft and Google technical documents, so I see the ASCII space more often, but I agree that many pages don't have ASCII space.

They don't, but I read various feedback linked from posts @sakupi01 quoted. As in my response to @myakura, they're mixed, some says the same reason as you wrote, and the exact ratio is not known.

The motivation of this issue is that the ratio of people wanting no space is high enough to reconsider the initial value. The risk is high, and authors who wrote their HTML in that way can always add one line CSS.
