> Do we have tests already for that in the non-top-layer case for `:hover` and friends? If so, repurposing those would be good. I looked around for tests of the existing flat tree behavior for these selectors, but couldn't find any. There are a small few (e.g. [this one](https://wpt.fyi/results/css/selectors/remove-hovered-element.html?label=master&label=experimental&aligned&q=remove-hovered-element.html)) that somewhat test the flat tree behavior, but only as a side-effect. Did I miss some tests somewhere? If not, it looks like we likely need to add some. Perhaps that can be done as part of the change being discussed in this issue. -- GitHub Notification of comment by mfreed7 Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/11185#issuecomment-2625182401 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
