Re: [csswg-drafts] [css-inline-3] text-box-trim and multi-column containers (#11363)

The CSS Working Group just discussed `[css-inline-3] text-box-trim and multi-column containers`, and agreed to the following:

* `RESOLVED: Apply text-box-trim to a column box or spanner iff it is adjacent to the relevant edge`

<details>
The full IRC log of that discussion

<kbabbitt> fantasai: we talked about applying text-box-trim to multicol containers
<kbabbitt> ... said it applies to every column
<kbabbitt> ... we didn't discuss what happens if there's a column spanner
<kbabbitt> ... it can occur before or after the column box
<kbabbitt> ... also you can have column boxes that span in the middle of the multicol container
<kbabbitt> ... and only want to trim the columns on the outsides
<kbabbitt> ... I think we want to clarify
<kbabbitt> ... suggest that we only target column boxes adjacent to edge of multicol container
<kbabbitt> ... and that we also trim spanners if present
<rachelandrew> q+
<kbabbitt> astearns: we only target things if they are adjacent to the appropriate edge?
<kbabbitt> fantasai: yes
<kbabbitt> rachelandrew: sounds good to me
<kbabbitt> ... that would then work if we do block-direction overflow for columns, same issue but without spanner
<fantasai> PROPOSAL: Apply text-box-trim to a column box or spanner if it is adjacent to the relevant edge
<fantasai> s/if/iff/
<kbabbitt> RESOLVED: Apply text-box-trim to a column box or spanner iff it is adjacent to the relevant edge
