Thanks for the discussion just now. Some points and references: - The Apple objection to interest invokers is summarized [here](https://github.com/WebKit/standards-positions/issues/464#issuecomment-3345213176) and [here](https://github.com/whatwg/html/issues/10309#issuecomment-3266951344). TL;DR: showing interest on touch and spatial computing interfaces is a "complex multi-gesture journey". - This issue is about adding a simple way to show interest (on those platforms, or generally) via a single, easy gesture: click/tap on a button-like pseudo. - Regarding OpenUI vs. CSSWG resolutions, here are the CSSWG resolutions about this feature on which the specs are based: [pseudo-classes](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12154#issuecomment-3109356914), [properties](https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/9236#issuecomment-2940736593). To me, this proposal seems like a great way to get past the stated concerns, by creating an easy way to show interest on the "troublesome" interfaces. But I'd love concrete feedback about what's still missing. -- GitHub Notification of comment by mfreed7 Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12437#issuecomment-3666522862 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
