Re: [csswg-drafts] Republishing Tasks Permathread (#6900)

The CSS Working Group just discussed `Republishing Tasks Permathread`, and agreed to the following:

* `RESOLVED: Republish WD of Tables 3`
* `RESOLVED: Republish Borders 4 WD`
* `RESOLVED: Repub WD of Shadow Parts 1`
* `RESOLVED: Repub UI 4 as WD`

<details>
The full IRC log of that discussion

<TabAtkins> Rossen: 6 more drafts that need republishing
<TabAtkins> Rossen: first CSS Tables 3
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: last time we discussed Table it didn't have an editor, now it has one assigned (Keith)
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: so maybe we can resolve on publishing now
<ChrisL> +1 now we have an editor
<TabAtkins> +1
<TabAtkins> RESOLVED: Republish WD of Tables 3
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: next is Borders 4, this is my spec
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: there were a bunch of new features added and changes made, so it's time to repub
<TabAtkins> +1
<ChrisL> +1
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: last pub was earlier this year (FPWD), want another WD
<TabAtkins> fantasai: if your edits all have WG resolutions you can publish without asking, fyi
<TabAtkins> RESOLVED: Republish Borders 4 WD
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: Shadow Parts was last published in 2018. i've updated Changes section and added wpt coverage
<TabAtkins> +1
<TabAtkins> Rossen: any objections?
<TabAtkins> RESOLVED: Repub WD of Shadow Parts 1
<TabAtkins> Rossen: then UI 3 and 4
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: Maybe shoudl go with UI 4 first, i think it's easier
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: lots of changes and major features since last pub, many already implemented
<ntim> q-
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: so i thin kit's fine to repub
<TabAtkins> fantasai: i think as long as Florian is ready to publish and does the publishing, i'm okay with it. i'll defer to him.
<TabAtkins> Rossen: let's resolve to publish and action Florian for it
<TabAtkins> RESOLVED: Repub UI 4 as WD
<TabAtkins> Rossen: now 3
<TabAtkins> ChrisL: Wasn't clear to me why it needs repub, it's just editorial changes and it's a lot of work to update an old spec like that
<ChrisL> s/old spec/old Rec/
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: tha'ts fine for me. i updated the changes list from the Rec, there's a few clarifications but they're not huge changes
<SebastianZ> https://drafts.csswg.org/css-ui-3/#changes-2018-06-21
<TabAtkins> Rossen: I agree with Chris that it's not a lot of benefit, but is a lot of work...
<TabAtkins> fantasai: if it's just editorial we can just republish
<TabAtkins> Rossen: is it?
<TabAtkins> fantasai: there's some minor non-editorial
<TabAtkins> fantasai: think we can defer to Florian
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: last is Rachel publishing Animation Worklet
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: been on the list for a year or so, dont' know the status
<TabAtkins> flackr: there's an experimental impl in Chromium but nobody else has looked at it, and we're not planning on shipping yet
<TabAtkins> SebastianZ: Rob's an editor
<TabAtkins> flackr: i don't think there's been any recent work on it. for now i'd consider it a non-active spec
