So, [align-content](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-align/#align-justify-content) applies differently depending on the formatting context. The way it’s described in the [Flexbox spec](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-flexbox-1/#align-content-property) suggests that it’s specific to flex containers. In this case, `align-content` applies to the flex item because it acts as a block container. In any case, the way things are sized seems expected based on the description in [Baseline Content-Alignment](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-align/#baseline-align-content) -- GitHub Notification of comment by gitspeaks Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/12123#issuecomment-2835092693 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
