The ability to escape inertness has been identified as a risk and confusing deviation from the capability of HTML inert. While there are use cases for this, we think that out of caution it would be safer to align with HTML inert for the currently specifiable inert value until we have time to carefully work through how best to address uninerting use cases. If we are agreed on this point, it seems to me that this should no longer be an inherited property. Adding to the agenda to resolve on this. -- GitHub Notification of comment by flackr Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/10711#issuecomment-2831214143 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
