@bramus also [blogged about why we went for `light-dark()`](https://www.bram.us/2023/10/09/the-future-of-css-easy-light-dark-mode-color-switching-with-light-dark/#schemed-value) but seemed to argue that a more general function was gated behind custom color-scheme support.
