`calc-size()` comes up here, because needed internally for the browser to calculate intermediate values, right? Did I understand that correctly? Why not leave it as function internal to the engine and not expose it to CSS authors in a general sense? The internal function would only need to support this specific case of transitioning to `auto` size.
