I, for one, would enthusiastically welcome more ways to set and expose standard design tokens, and while it's not an ideal system, extending the set of system colors does appear to be the path of least resistance. I just added it to #10948 However, for these to be useful, they need to be settable by the page (with nice defaults from the OS/UA), following the pattern established by `accent-color`.
