I think this seems like a reasonable idea assuming it isn't a compatibility problem. I'd note that [according to Chromestatus](https://chromestatus.com/feature/6201053052928000) the `sideways-*` keywords are scheduled to ship in a Chrome release that has already branched, so it's not clear if Chrome would be able to do this in the first release with these keywords.
